CB-SEM analysis
Moderation (latent interaction)
Moderate a CB-SEM path with a latent interaction; Bootstrap then runs Moderation analysis (modsem).
How to
- 1On the Structural pane, drag the moderator's centre (e.g. Trust) onto the path it moderates (e.g. Service Quality → Loyalty). A dotted line marks the interaction.
- 2Click Bootstrap. With a latent interaction in the model, the dialog has a Moderation tab.
- 3Under Latent interaction, keep Quasi-Maximum Likelihood (QML) (recommended) or choose LMS (required with FIML or higher-order constructs) or a product-indicator method (DCA, UCA, RCA, CA).
- 4Bootstrap interaction SEs is off by default: Moderation reports analytic interaction and simple-slope SEs.
- 5Start bootstrap. Bootstrap fits the main effects, then Moderation analysis runs automatically; Results list the interaction effects with their CIs.

Good to know
- The moderator's main effect on the outcome is added to the estimated model automatically; you don't draw it as a path.
