Quadratic and nonlinear effects

Test whether an effect is quadratic or follows another nonlinear form.

How to

  1. 1Open Analyze in the left rail and find Advanced analysis.
  2. 2Click Quadratic effect, then click a structural path on the canvas. A green QE node (two-stage X·X term) is added; Esc cancels.
  3. 3Or click Nonlinear effects and click each path, choosing Linear only, Quadratic (X²) or S-shaped (X³).
  4. 4Run Estimate; the effects appear in Results.
