Higher-order constructs

PLS-SEM supports higher-order constructs (HOC) built from first-order dimensions.

How to

  1. 1Draw an empty construct with Add construct and name it.
  2. 2Click its gear (Set up higher-order construct) and pick the Second-order relationship (e.g. Reflective–Formative).
  3. 3Under HOC approach, click Repeated indicators (copy FOC items) or Joint Two-stage (FOC scores → HOC).
  4. 4Tick at least two First-order constructs and click OK.

  • Use Edit first-order constructs… in the same menu to change the dimensions later.
